WHERE NATURE MEETS NEIGHBORHOODS

Denville's Ward 1

Ward 1 is home to some of Denville’s most cherished spaces — places that bring neighbors together and connect us to the natural beauty around us.

Cedar Lake stands at the heart of the ward, a close-knit lake community where nature and neighborhood truly meet. Just down the road, Cooks Pond offers year-round recreation, from kayaking in summer to quiet shoreline walks in fall. Rock Ridge Lake lays nestled in between.

Muriel Hepner Park and Tourne County Park provide peaceful trails, wooded paths, and scenic views that invite reflection and exploration. Tucked away in the forest, Jonathan’s Woods remains one of Ward 1’s hidden treasures, a quiet preserve where wildlife thrives.

Recreation can be found at two different country clubs

Knowledge centers include our Denville Public Library, Valleyview Middle School, shaping the next generation of Denville residents and serving as a place where community, education, and future potential all come together.

Ward 2

Where Community & Connection Converge

Ward 2 blends some of Denville’s most recognizable places — from the heart of Downtown Denville to the shores of Indian Lake, and from the fields of Gardner Field to the classrooms at Morris Knolls, Morris Catholic, and Riverview Elementary.

It’s a diverse, active area where neighborhoods, schools, and town traditions all intersect. Whether you’re cheering at a Friday night game or walking to your favorite spot downtown, Ward 2 is where Denville’s spirit shines.

Ward 3

Where Movement Meets Community

Ward 3 is a hub of activity, connection, and everyday life in Denville. Anchored by Route 10 and Route 53, and served by the Denville Train Station, it’s a vital corridor for commuters, families, and small businesses alike.

The ward includes the beautiful shoreline of Lake Estling, the historic Indian Lake area, and important community institutions like Lakeview Elementary and the Morris County School of Technology. From the open land at Knuth Farms to the rhythm of daily travel, Ward 3 reflects Denville’s balance of movement and hometown pride.

Ward 4

Denville’s Quiet Backbone

Ward 4 is a strong, steady presence in Denville — a largely residential and commercial district where families settle, businesses thrive, and daily life moves with purpose. It’s home to the well-traveled stretch of Route 10, the hillside homes of Union Hill, and the reflective space of Veterans Memorial Park.

While it may not boast lakes or trails, Ward 4 plays a vital role in Denville’s identity, economy, and future.
