Hi, I’m Cam Morissette, and I’m running to represent Ward 1 on the Denville Township Council.

I’m an environmental professional, geologist, and proud resident of Ward 1, where I live near Cedar Lake with my wife and two young daughters. I’ve spent my career helping developers and communities navigate complex environmental challenges — from performing Environmental Impact Studies to ensuring stakeholders are heard and impacts are mitigated appropriately — and now, I’m ready to bring that experience home.

Denville is a special place. But with rapid development, rising costs, and infrastructure under strain, we need leadership that looks ahead — and listens closely. I’m running to ensure our town grows thoughtfully, protects its natural beauty, and stays rooted in the values that make it feel like home.

I believe in:

• Smart growth — not overgrowth
• Transparency before approval, not after
• Protecting open space and watersheds
• Council decisions driven by planning, not politics

This election isn’t about partisanship. It’s about giving Denville the balanced, forward-thinking leadership it deserves. Our Council should reflect the community it serves — and make room for new voices at the table.
